I apologize for it being a while since I have last updated.  This week....

Monday - No School, President's Day

Tuesday - I was absent from the classroom so the students watched the movie National Treasure

Wednesday - Starter Quiz and Time for Kids Magazine assignment

Thursday - Our Ancestry and Interview projects are due.. Presentations will follow!

Friday - I will be at a conference so the students will finish National Treasure.

It's a NEW YEAR!!!

     So far this semester we have been doing a lot of review over everything we learned the first semester.  We have completed a packet, played review games, and completed an activity in the computer lab.  This week...

Monday - Pop Quiz over Continents/Oceans, Group Review Game from 1st 9 weeks

Tuesday - Begin Autobiography vs. Biography The students will be picking out a book to read and completing an assignment on this.  More details to come on Thursday & Friday.

Wednesday- Subjective vs. Objective In English, they have been discussing subjective vs. objective and we will be applying this skill in Social Studies.

Thursday - Library Day - Mrs. Dyreck, our librarian, will be doing a lesson with each class on research and knowing the differences between autobiographies vs. biographies.  The students will also have time to check books out.

Friday - Explanation of project & DEAR reading.  The students will have time in class to read the book that they have chosen.

Last full week...

This week we have been studying about Governments and Economics.  On Monday, we went over 3 different types of Economic systems and 7 Leaders of the World.  On Tuesday, we will be taking an English Benchmark Test.  Tomorrow (Wednesday) we will be going over more economic concepts and completing a review worksheet for the test.  On Thursday, we will complete a final review in class for the test that will come on Friday.  This test will be over governments, economics, and the leaders of the world.  This is the last full week before Christmas break.
